General Manager – Industry Relations
Tourism Australia

As the General Manager of Industry Relations, Leigh is responsible for building and maintaining Tourism Australia’s relationship with industry stakeholders.

Leigh has held various senior roles during a 20 year career in the tourism industry , including stints with organisations such as Hamilton Island and Tourism Tropical North Queensland.
A long serving member of the Tourism Australia team, Leigh joined the organisation in 2006 to lead its trade marketing programme in the UK/Northern Europe from the London office, before returning to Australis to join the international team in Sydney.

Prior to his current role, Leigh managed the Industry Development business unit, and was responsible for the delivery of programmes such as trade events (including the Australian Tourism Exchange) the Aussie Specialist online training programme and experience development including National Landscapes, Indigenous Tourism Champions and ‘Best of Australia’.
